Karkas Sak

This all started in 2016, after constant frustration with meat transport.

I developed what people call a karkas sak, because there had to be a better and more reliable way to transport meat after a hunt. Through trial and error, it led to what we have today — one of the best soft cooler systems in South Africa.

Since then, we have expanded into bakkie coolers, trailer coolers, and a range of unique hunting and outdoor products.

The problem was always the same. After a hunt, or when transporting meat, fish, ice or any perishables, it becomes a race against time — dealing with heat, spoilage, and loss of quality.

At the same time, carcasses are exposed to dust, direct sunlight, and rain during transport.

We use some of the best and strongest materials available:

Outer layer: ripstop canvas

Inner layer: thick, 100% waterproof PV

Multiple insulation layers between materials

Industrial zips and heavy-duty attachments

Over the years, many cheap alternatives have entered the market. Please be aware — if it does not say CoolKing, you are not buying the best.

Now you have cool, clean, and protected meat, fish, ice or any perishables for 12–24 hours.
